Al Hussein Fund has provided support for the Hussein Cancer Research Award

Al Hussein Fund for Excellence (HFE) has signed an agreement with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation to provide silver sponsorship for the Hussein Cancer Research Award for the third consecutive year. The award supports research aimed at advancing diagnostic and treatment tools for cancer.

The sponsorship reflects HFE’s commitment to promoting innovation in technological and developmental fields, and to strengthening scientific research at both the individual and institutional levels. Through this agreement, HFE provides financial support that contributes to positioning Jordan as a regional leader in comprehensive cancer care and in improving patient outcomes.

HFE emphasized the importance of research in alleviating the suffering of cancer patients and called for a national effort to document cancer incidence, analyze contributing factors, and enhance prevention strategies.

The Foundation highlighted that the award will enhance its capacity to build a robust scientific research base aimed at reducing mortality rates, improving recovery, and easing patient suffering. Collaborative research efforts involving international partners have already contributed to recovery rates in Jordan that exceed global averages.

Al Hussein Fund for Excellence, established in 1999 under Royal Patronage, is a non-profit company funded by banks operating in Jordan. It serves as a key corporate social responsibility arm of the country’s financial and banking sector.
