King Hussein Award for Cancer Research was established in 2020 to promote and celebrate cancer research efforts across the Arab world. Honoring the memory of His Majesty the late King Hussein bin Talal of Jordan, a firm believer in cancer research, the award will recognize leading Arab researchers – both established and promising – who are making outstanding contributions to our knowledge of cancer. The King Hussein Award aims to advance much needed cutting-edge research across the region, filling the gaps in our understanding of cancer in the Arab world, focusing on the study of the Arab gene and ultimately empowering life-saving treatment.
The King Hussein Cancer Research Award aims to honor outstanding researchers and scientists in various fields related to cancer. The Award's board of directors includes a group of researchers and doctors from around the world, under the presidency of Her Royal Highness Princess Ghaida Talal.
Al Hussein Fund for Excellence is a non-profit institution established in 1999 by the banking community in Jordan and represents one of the social responsibility arms of the banking sector in the Kingdom.
